Bringing "Nervous Excitement" to Life

Everett Code's debut single, "Nervous Excitement," explores a potent and introspective experience. When Everett asked me to create the artwork, I was excited to translate the song's evocative energy into a visual representation.

Everett shared a demo of the song along with references to some of my past works, fostering an open dialogue about the artistic direction. We explored various concepts, aiming to capture the essence of the emotions and themes within the music.

Through a collaborative revision process, we refined the artwork until it resonated with both of us. The final piece features a portrait of his friend that his song describes while visually conveying a sense of heightened awareness and exploration. With over 10,000 streams across platforms, the artwork underscores the power of visual art to complement and enhance a listener's experience.
